Filling

Tooth filling is to replace tooth cavity with filling material, popular with resin composite because of esthetics advantage and nowadays has no difference to metal material in functional aspect.

 

Most of the time tooth cavity has no symptoms but in larger cavity can cause sensitivity or pain.

In extended cavity if the cavity is already reach tooth nerve, the tooth cannot be fill and has to do root canal treatment. Routine check up and X-ray are recommended and should not be wait until symptoms occur to prevent this event
